Finally cured my comp. problems. Tried the Harley S.E. and the big dollar Baker unit. Vulcan Works out performs both.

Advantages: Smoother starts, smoother shifts, very quiet primary.

My FXDLS suffered from a failed factory SE compensator at 8k miles. With this compensator eliminator, my bike starts quicker/easier, is more responsive, and I don't have to worry about it failing. It isn't noisier than the stock setup, and I only have a little bit of extra vibration in a very narrow RPM range. For me, a far superior solution that another OEM SE replacement at a much better price.

Steve T Stevens Steve about Harley Springer Softail Rake Kit Verified Purchase

After the Rake kit was installed it made a BIG difference in the bikes handling and cornering turns. Installed on my 1997 FLSTS Heritage Springer. with a side car.

Advantages: Having the rake kit installed made the Springer ride smoother with making left or right turns....

Company did just exactly what they said would do. We are luck to have a company like this available to do business with. There are too many gone.

Advantages: Good personal communication and high quality product.

Ive only got about 30 miles or so since installing (24t on front 58t on rear) what a difference I will commit more when I get a few hundred miles on my 16 flhxs and a few passes down the strip

Received my order and was pleasantly surprised at first look, packaged extremely well. Product was a work of art, absolutely beautiful construction, fit was perfect, and the look was fan fucking tactic!
Thank you and congrats for someone to finally deliver a product that lives up to where the quality is much higher than the price. I think these were a steal after seeing in person how well they are built. When everyone sees my horse I'm sure you will be seeing many more orders from this area. Thank you for your effort.

Why did I wait so long? Runs great only 30 miles on it so far but none of the things (vibration, motor hit, all the things everyone warns about) feels a little more sporty because you do feel a little more motor down low, but isn’t that why we modify? I’m a 2006 road king 88 built to a 103. stroke, bore, S&S 1000 lbs pressed crank, aw54 cams, head work, rinehart true duals, hyper charger air intake, and a power commander programmer with my own hot map. A bump in compression (10 1/2 to 1). Easy install, the nut doesn’t completely cover crank end but noticed it looks exactly as pictured on Vulcans site so I checked thread coverage of factory compensator nut and the same amount of threads contact crank so good to go torqued just fine 75 lbs + 45 deg. Do not leave the washer off.I ride like a jerk went through 3 starters and two compensators all factory Harley. A lot tried to discourage this conversation but so far I love it. I will come back and up date after a couple thousand miles.

Advantages: Hot motor yes yes yes!
Disadvantages: Stock motor old man smooth ride probably not for you!

Installed to a 91 FXSTS and the difference is amazing. A lot lighter on the bars and a more compliant ride over the bombing range that is called Australian roads. Very easy kit to install, I drilled out the original stem (no access to a machine shop to press it out) in 3 steps using a 23 mm drill as the last hole. It was harder to replace the steering head bearings than replace the stem, really it is that simple. Very well made kit.

Advantages: 4 degrees of rake makes for lighter bars, better over imperfections in the road with no real change in ground clearance
Disadvantages: None really. I does state that you can not use the steering lock, but as the original is only designed to keep honest thieves away, I tack welded a couple of high tensile washers to the original piece of the steering lock and use a slightly longer shanked pad lock.

better than new, this comp. eliminator and chain tensioner is a awsome set up, only got 50 miles on them so far, i adjusted the chain at 5/8. time will tell.

Advantages: less noise, less weight, easier to shift and find neutral, easier to start, less strain on starter.
Disadvantages: dont know if it could handle to many power upgrades, i just have a less restrictive breather, pipes and tunner, just needed some reliability, so far its good.

Not much impresses me enough to comment on anything but, this is a high quality kit. The hub is billet, machining is flawless and the bearings have a Timken part number. The machining, concentricity and polished satin finish on the front sprocket is flawless. The rear sprocket is thick and made in USA by a long established sprocket mfg company. The rear high carbon sprocket steel shows the expected cosmetic finish from furnace heat treating of the entire part. Cheap is rarely better.

I became frustrated with the cams to adjust the Harley drive belt. This is the best design I found during my research.

Advantages: Simple, straight forward install. Approximately 30 mins once the exhaust is out of the way.
Disadvantages: Didn't encounter any.

I installed the rake kit, and I must say, my 2006 fxstsi steers and turns with much more confidence.

Advantages: Handles great, view of bike from the front looks badass.
Disadvantages: None so far, I’ve had it on my bike for over 7 years now.

Went together smooth as silk on my 2004 FXD. My only beef is that it didn't some with shorter bolts for the rear sprocket. Not a huge deal, but i live 20 miles from any hardware store.

Advantages: Parts went together flawlessly. Everything seemed well made. Makes changing ratios simple.
Disadvantages: Didn't include shorter bolts for the rear sprocket.

Excellent part. Does the job its intended to do, matches the E manifold, better than the original rubber version. Well made, perfect fit and very nice finish......amazing for the price.

Advantages: Same overall length as the supplied rubber coated version. Comes with threaded holes, much easier to install than the Mikuni flange.

I bought these rocker boxes in 2012, sos out 7 years ago. They look awesome, the stock rocker boxes are just plain ugly to me. I just took them off my bike to replace the gaskets, as they leak a bit after a while. This is the second time in 7 years that I had to do this, but it’s worth it to me, to keep a look that I love.

Advantages: Looks awesome, stock look can’t touch it.
Disadvantages: Leaks after a couple of years, though, I’m going to try gasket dressing on all gaskets.

The photos does not match the product that I got. The sprocket is black oxide which is good but the nut and washer that comes with it looks like standard yellow zinc grade 8 hardware that you would find at Lowes or Homedepot and I suspect that this is not 4140 tool steel. If your product doesn't match your advertising.... then it leaves trust issues with the rest of your products.

Advantages: Great sprocket
Disadvantages: very questionable hardware

Jeremy Ebbesen Jeremy about 10mm Compression Release Sets Verified Purchase

I can't say enough good about both the products and the customer service I've received from Vulcan. I have used their raked steering cups and now these compression releases. They even exchanged the first set I ordered for a longer thread set. Will gladly do business in the future.
