about Compensator Eliminator, 25 Tooth, 1994-06 Big Twin
Verified Purchase
I was having problems starting my bike, the dreaded Harley Compensator Clunk. After going through 2 stock Compensators, I Installed the Vulcanworks 25t Compensator eliminator, and now my bike starts so fast it's almost unbelievable. No more clunking and quicker throttle response. I should have done this years ago.
Advantages: Easier starting, less evasive on the starter and other primary components. Quick throttle response.
Disadvantages: Not really a disadvantage but I don't notice some slight engine pulses at highway speeds. No big deal.

about Dyna Chain Conversion Kit, 2006-17 6 Speed
Verified Purchase
Bad ass kit! I've been in machine shops and mechanic bays for 30+ years, and this conversion kit is top notch professional gear. Everything fits tight, everything fits right. Detailed, simple instructions included. But you should know your way around the inner and outer Harley Primary case. It's not rocket science, but if your first time, youtube has dozens of excellent videos. Just watch a different video every night for a week and you should be good to go. Tools needed...Inside snap ring (8") pliers, chainbreaker rivit tool, primary sprocket lock tool (you can make your own if you can fab). You will need 3 special sockets, preferably impacts, 1-1/8" 1-3/16" and special mainshaft pully socket 2-1/4". Primary clutch is left hand thread.
Ebay and Amazon sell all sockets designated impacts for cheap. (China is making decent stuff now, they got tired of refunding all of our purchases). You will probably never need those sockets again.

Advantages: It's just different, in a better way! Quieter, clutch lever engagement feels tighter/not sloppy loose, and less vibration. You can replace chain without opening the primary, and gear changes with rear sprocket change.
Disadvantages: Only dis I can think of is front sprocket wear and replacement. But with a 24 tooth sprocket, that should be many years and maybe 30-50k miles or so.

about 2000-22 XL Front Wheel to Harley "48" Forty Eight
Excellent kit. I actually did sort of the opposite intent of this kit and swapped a 48 front end onto my 07, but I used this kit to retain my 19" front wheel. Instructions were very easy to understand and everything went together without any issues.
Advantages: Ease of install
Clear instructions
Cool kit that lets you swap wheels
