about I've been looking for an axle upgrade for a while (2016 Road Glide Ultra). There's a number that have alu adjuster plates which were discounted, I'd expect distortion/crushing when the axle is torqued up (check your bike's oem alu wheel spacers!).
I chose the Vulcan Works kit for the price and as it's all steel with a stainless axle, plus it's made in a proper engineering shop.
I'm in the UK, received the kit three days after despatch. Brilliant.
Opened the box and my expectations were met.
I've done a bit of lathe/mill work over the years and I can appreciate the quality of the engineering; the adjuster plates are perfectly machined with a very good black coating, the axle is well turned with clean, well formed threads, same as the adjusters bolts.
Very good, explicit instructions with colour pictures, easy to follow.
Anybody looking for an axle upgrade, I highly recommend this Vulcan Works kit, you won't be disappointed.

Don’t use the similar appearing nylon seals sold by others. They are harder and don’t fit well. The Vulcan seals are made with Teflon and are more pliable and have a better fit. Will not leak.

these knucks are well made and I have not had any problems with them. Real head turners. I have always loved the old Knucklehead look...so beautiful. Now I am wanting to try out the early style cam covers by Xzotic too. Really changed the look of the 92 Evo springer. Performance is great too.

These work great for many years now. I have since changes out the Aluminum Nuts for Brass off ebay. one thing to remember is to grind the crowns flush on the head Bolts or the top cover will not clear and Not seal the Large O-ring

Why did I wait?! Comp problems are now gone. My softail fires up immediately. Its not any more noisy then any other Harley engine and drives great. A little better throttle response as well.
